Location

We still tend to read the four gospels as merging into each other and telling one composite story.  But in fact they are written in very distinct styles and with different emphases.  What can a prayerful reading of the gospels with this in mind say to us? The reflections for this retreat will look in turn at the four texts as they speak into different dimensions of Jesus’ humanity and ours.

Rowan Williams

Dr Williams’ intimate yet profound way of teaching will form a true learning community during this retreat. As usual with our Bonnevaux retreats, the rhythm of  day will weave with his guidance and wisdom to connect with the essentials of a God-centred life which will have lasting benefits long after the retreat itself.

This event takes place at Bonnevaux and offers an opportunity to discover the rich cultural and historical French and European heritage of the 12th-century Abbaye de Bonnevaux, as well as to explore the varied and natural beauty of the land which we cultivate as a model of ecological responsibility.
