How do we enter into an intimacy with the Creator of the Universe? It seems insane to even think about it!
And yet, were we not created in His image and likeness? And then, did He not become incarnate in this man called Yeshua? Thus do we not possess the means to take the path to God? One of these is to be discovered within ourselves: this capacity for the absolute that we all carry deep within us; the other comes from the life and words of this Jew whom we call Christ.
There are several passages in the New Testament that allow us to unlock the door that opens into the spaces of God. Let us take two. One is from Matthew (11:27): “no one knows the Father except the Son”; the other is from the first epistle of John (4:7): “and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God”.
Thus, it is through the Son and it is through love that we enter into intimacy with God.
We shall therefore take the path that is the Son in order to advance, in our own measure, towards the love that is the Father. In doing so, we will also draw on our tradition, those women and men who, before us, have undertaken this journey in the Spirit and have bequeathed to us some lights that can guide and support us today in our own journey.
All events at Bonnevaux offer the opportunity to discover the rich French and European cultural and historical heritage of the 12th century Abbey of Bonnevaux, as well as to explore the varied and natural beauty of the land we cultivate as a model of ecological responsibility.

The Abbey of Bonnevaux is the spiritual home of the World Community for Christian Meditation (WCCM) which includes a Conference and Retreat Centre dedicated to peace.
