La Fête de Voisins is a French national ‘neighbours day’. About sixty of our friends and neighbours attended Bonnevaux on the afternoon of Saturday May 26th for a ‘bring and share’ picnic meal. We had great support and participation from the Poitiers Christian Meditation group and the committee of the WCCM in France. One of the hosts of the Poitiers group, Thérèse Ragonneau, introduced about thirty people to a short period of meditation in the Chapel before the fete began.
We were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Marçay, Sandra Girard, who joined us for an aperitif before leaving to attend a wedding.
The weather was warm and sunny for the duration of the Fete, and the forecast thunder storm did not arrive until after our last guests had left.”
