Living Resurrected Lives

Paola Di Pietro

Introducing Risen Life – a webinar with Eva Natanya, Veronica Mary Rolf, Laurence Freeman and Giovanni Felicioni

Meet Eva Natanya, a scholar of Christian systematic theology and Tibetan Buddhism and speaker in the upcoming online seminar Risen Life together with Veronica Mary Rolf, Laurence Freeman and Giovanni Felicioni. The event will run on January 9, 5 – 9:30 pm (French time).

This will be a four-way discussion focusing on the book Living Resurrected Lives: What It Means and Why It Matters, by Veronica Mary Rolf and Eva Natanya. “The book has a three-pronged approach: history, philosophy and contemplation in order to understand the resurrection of Jesus Christ anew for ourselves individually and for our world.”

“Philosophically, we trace the theological accounts of what resurrection means, all the way from the Epistles of Saint Paul, through the Church Fathers and on to Saint Augustin, Thomas of Aquin to understand the many different ways in which the great theologians have looked at the resurrection.”

“We’re looking into how can the most contemporary discoveries of science as well as the perspectives of Eastern religion lead us perhaps the most authentic orthodox canonical view of the resurrection as opposed to the materialist tendencies of mainstream science.”

“Then we turn back to our contemporary perspective to ask how many of these arguments still work for us. Do we still have the obsession of the material reality of the corpse?”

Eva introduces us to the seminar in this short video here.
