The Association Bonnevaux pour La Paix (ABP) is looking for its first manager to launch and set up a brand new Retreat Centre. The Centre, which is the home of the World Community for Christian Meditation, is based in Bonnevaux, near Poitiers in France, an 11thCentury Abbey converted into an international centre for peace and meditation. There is a small resident community of oblates who will interact and support the centre whilst living alongside within their own community. The retreat centre will begin to welcome its first retreatants this autumn and a stimulating programme of events awaits.
This is a high level and key role for an experienced and multi-talented individual with substantial experience in the management of retreat centres. Superb organisational, leadership and financial management skills are a must, creativity and a good understanding of those in search of spiritual and personal growth as well as the ability to work well with an international team.
Hard-working, practical and versatile, you will create a team, hire appropriate staff, establish the catering and hospitality, ensuring the centre is well managed and achieves self-sufficiency within the first 2-3 years of operations.
